Day 1: Arrive Rome Upon arrival in Rome, you are met and transferred to your hotel. The St. Regis Rome (Gold) or Rose Garden Palace (Silver)

Day 2: Rome/Vatican City | The Sistine Chapel Begin at the Palatine Hill, where your guide brings to life the legend of the city’s origin under Romulus and Remus. Pass the Arch of Constantine to view the mighty Colosseum. After lunch at leisure, tour Vatican City, admiring the stunning collection in its vast museum. Visit the Sistine Chapel to marvel at its frescos painted by Michelangelo, and wonder at St. Peter’s Basilica, where you view the poignant Pieta  of Michelangelo and the exuberant Baldaquin of Bernini. Day 3: Rome | Walking The Eternal City Walk to Campo de Fiori and its delightful food market, and then visit the Piazza Navonna to see the Baroque Fountain of the Four Rivers. Continue to the ancient Pantheon. Later, stop at the iconic Trevi Fountain and toss a coin if you desire. Finish at the foot of the famous Spanish Steps, and then spend your afternoon at leisure. Day 4: Orvieto/Cortona/Florence | Wine Tasting in Tuscany Drive to Florence, stopping for a guided walking tour of the hillside city of Orvieto, home to the cathedral housing Luca Signorelli, Cycle of the Apocalypse. Continue through breathtaking Tuscan countryside where you visit a local wine producer and savor a wine tasting before continuing to Florence. Day 5: Florence | Great Works of Art and Artifice Enjoy a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery to admire Carravagio’s Medusa, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation and Raphael’s Madonna of the Goldfinch. Then, make a very special private entry to the Vasari Corridor, built by Giorgio Vasari, court architect to the Medici family. Day 6: Florence/Pisa/Florence | Duomo and Leaning Tower Drive to Pisa, famous for its iconic Leaning Tower. Visit the magnificent 11th-century Duomo cathedral and its austerely beautiful Baptistry. If you wish, climb to the top of the tower (ages eight and above only). Enjoy lunch at leisure before returning to Florence. Day 7: Florence/Venice | Galleria dell,Accademia Stroll the city, admiring its lovely piazzas, churches and palaces. See the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), as well as the Galleria dell, Accademia, where you behold Michelangelo’s David. Walk through the San Lorenzo and Santa Maria Novella districts and note the enduring influences of their Renaissance heritage. Day 8: Venice | St. Mark’s Basilica Discover Venice on a walking tour to visit glorious St. Mark’s Basilica to see the four bronze horses on the exterior and admire the interior filled with dazzling, luminous mosaics and marble floors. Stop to admire La Fenice Theater and view the Grand Canal from the Accademia Bridge. Hotel Danieli (Gold) or Londra Palace (Silver) | Meals: B

Day 9: Venice | Local Flavors Immerse yourself in local life with a visit to the market district around the Rialto Bridge. Then, sample Venetian cuisine at a bacari, a small wine bar that serves un, ombra (a small glass of wine) with cicheti, traditional snacks such as spicy meatballs, fish appetizers and fried vegetables. Continue to the nearby Frari church, where you admire the Madonna and Child by Giovanni Bellini and an altarpiece Assumption of the Virgin by Titian. Day 10: Depart Venice After breakfast, transfer to the airport and depart. Meals: B
